What is your pricing?
I truly understand wanting to know my prices without having to ask but unfortunately my prices aren’t listed for public viewing. Simply send me a message and I’d be happy to send over my prices.
Do you edit all photos you take?
No I don’t. I delete duplicate images, tests shots, missed focused shots, shots of people with bad expressions and other images that may dilute the overall album. I sometimes shoot the same subject more than once so I increase the chances of having a good image.
How long does it take before I receive my photos?
It depends on my workload at the time of your event but I ask all clients to be patient as it can take up to 4 weeks for your pictures to be delivered.
How many photos will I receive?
The number of photos depends on a variety of things – hours of coverage, the amount of guests and the actual event itself. No 2 events are the same so it isn’t possible for me to give a number.
Can I have raw unedited photos?
I am afraid the raw unedited photos aren’t for viewing or available for purchase. I take my time in deciding what photos go into the final album. Look at it this way you wouldn’t really ask a painter for their initial sketches that went into the piece. Or you wouldn’t ask a book author for their original manuscript.
What if I lose my photos?
There is a replacement charge of £50 for additional downloads after the event has been archived. I strongly recommend making at least one copy of the photos after downloading.
Do you cover weddings?
Not at this current time. I am currently assisting other photographers in order to build a wedding portfolio. If you still would like me to cover your wedding please send me a message so we can discuss.
Are you available for destination events?
Yes! My passport and suitcase are ready.
Do you offer videography?
I am afraid not but I will be more than happy to recommend some videographers for you.
Can guests take photos with their cameras and phones?
Of course but can I ask that they not block my line of sight.
Would you stay overtime if needed?
Yes. There will be an additional cost. We will discuss and if you’re happy to proceed then I will stay longer.
What is your photography style?
I think the word “photojournalism” is used a lot, but to be honest it probably is the best way to describe my style. I don’t like to be intrusive. I love capturing candid shots as I believe they tell more of the story of the event. People who know me personally know how I love to my facial expressions and I want my photos to express that. I want to capture laughter, tears of joy and every other positive expression. However, I do believe there is a time for posed pictures.
In terms of my editing style I like my pictures to be vibrant and punchy. I do sometimes change my editing style depending on the event.
Do you have liability insurance?
Can you provide my venue with proof of your insurance?
Yes I can supply proof of my insurance to any venue. I will need at least 7 days notice so my insurance company can send over the documents.
What equipment do you use?
I use Canon bodies and lenses
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes. In order to secure my services you would need to pay a deposit.
Can you hold a date for me?
To be fair to other potential clients I can’t hold a date until the deposit has been paid.
How soon do I need to pay?
The sooner the better as I cannot pencil you in. The sooner you pay you eliminate the risk of another client possibly securing me first.
If I cancel my event is the deposit refundable?
I am afraid all deposits are non-refundable
Who are your inspirations?
I actually have quite a lot. I follow so many photographers on instagram but to name a handful: Jide Alakija (Alakija Studios), Adebayo Deru (Adebayo Deru Photography), Segun Olotu (Sottu Photography), Ayo Oduniyi (AO Media), Jide Odukoya (Jide Odukoya Photography, Lin & Jirsa Photography and Jasmine Star. I could actually go on and on…
Who built your website?
I built my website myself using a WordPress theme.
What camera and lenses do you use?
My main camera is the Canon 5D Mark III with a variety of Canon L series lenses. I am a bit of a gear freak so I am always looking at the next lens to buy.
Are you building a team?
Yes I will be looking to build a team of photographers to join J.Jamie Photography in the future.
Do you teach any workshops?
Not at the moment. I will hope to offer workshops sometime in the future.
